Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 

Located at the east of the city next to Stratford City development, this sporting complex was constructed intended for the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Paralympics. There are several sporting venues to be found here such as the London Aquatics Centre, the Olympic Stadium, and the London Olympics Media Centre. During the games it was called “Olympic Park”, but was then renamed for the commemoration of Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II. It undergoes a major renovation that was reopened last April 2014.
